Degree Certificate Distribution Ceremony

The Degree Distribution Ceremony of Bunts Sangha’s S.M. Shetty College of Science, Commerce and Management Studies, Powai was held on 30th March, 2024 at Smt. Shashi Manmohan Shetty Open Air Auditorium of the college. During 2022-23, in all 800 students were graduated from S.M. Shetty College. Currently, college offers BCOM, BAF, BBI, BMS, BSC-IT, BSC-DATA SCIENCE, BAMMC at the under-graduation level and MCOM and MSC-IT at the post-graduation level. Total number of students attended the ceremony was 475. The Degree Distribution Ceremony was held similar to Degree Distribution Ceremony of University of Mumbai. The procession includes Management members, College Development Committee members, Principal, Vice-principals, Co-coordinators and students.

The programme began with University song and principal welcomed and spoke about the prevailing situation of the economy and how to cope with the situation. In India there is no unemployment if you are employable and success does not come to us rather we should go in search of it. Sir also explained the graduate attributes in detail so that students can impart them into their future life.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. M. S. Moodithaya, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Nitte (Deemed to be University), Managlore, who gave a moving keynote speech that inspired both the graduates and attendees alike.

As the graduates walked across the stage to receive their degrees, there was a palpable sense of accomplishment and joy in the air. Each student had worked tirelessly to achieve their degrees, and the ceremony was a celebration of their hard work and dedication.

Shri Ratnakar Shetty Mundkur, Chairman, Powai Education Committee (PEC) in his speech congratulated all the graduates and said that they are all equipped with a powerful weapon that is knowledge that can be used to change your destiny. He urged students to apply their knowledge to all spheres of life.

Shri Praveen Bhoja Shetty, President, Bunts Sangha Mumbai also addressed to newly graduate. During his speech, President encouraged the graduates to continue pursuing their dreams and to never give up in the face of challenges. He shared personal anecdotes of his own struggles and how he overcame them through perseverance and determination, inspiring the graduates to do the same.

Vice-Chairman Shri Vasant N Shetty Palimar, and CA Harish D Shetty, Secretary Shri Gautam S Shetty, Treasurer CA Ashok R Shetty, Coordinator PEC Shri Mahesh Shetty, College Development Committee members Shri Bharat Shetty, Principal Dr. Sridhara Shetty, Chief Operating Officer Dr. Sandeep Singh, Vice-Principals Dr. Liji Santosh and CS Sandesha Shetty, Co-coordinators of various programmes, Registrar and teachers participated in the Degree Distribution Ceremony. Mr. John Menezes anchored the programme. Students were very overwhelming delighted to receive their Degree Certificates.

The ceremony was a true celebration of the graduates' achievements, and it marked the beginning of their exciting journey into the professional world. The graduates left the ceremony with a renewed sense of purpose and motivation to pursue their passions and make a positive impact on the world.
