The Language and Magazine Committee of S.M. Shetty College of Science, Commerce and Management Studies, has been set up primarily to produce the college magazine Resonant.The committee comprises of teachers and students editors.The committee organizes literary contests and presentations and performances throughout the academic year to promote speaking and writing skills of students in different languages. This, in turn, helps in finding competent students for the editorial committee of Resonant.The committee, every year, organizes Hindi Bhasha Divas, Marathi Bhasha Divas and Matrubhasha Divas for students and teachers. Noted academicians and literary personalities have attended these events.

The objectives of the committee:

• To create and produce the college magazine Resonant annually
• Encourage expressions in students and and teachers through writing
• Encourage use of and respect for all languages
